From its founding in 1876 by Jacob and Frederick Beringer, a pioneering and unwavering spirit kept Beringer on a journey to become one of America's most celebrated wineries. This journey was not without its challenges, however, the biggest of which arose in 1920 with the passage of Prohibition. During the following decade, a quiet knock on the door and a whisper would gain you entry to a speakeasy, where often the owner was a strong and determined woman known as a Whisper Sister.
A deep violet color sets the stage for classic Cabernet Sauvignon aromas of plum preserves, black cherry and creme de cassis. Rich and full bodied, the palate shows distinct notes of blackberry, blueberry jam and cocoa accented by oak spice and vanilla.
