Achille is the wine dedicated to the figure of Achille Sergardi, a man of great personality and Master of the Customs of Salt at the end of 1400. The vineyards from which it comes to life are those of the hilly area of Montagnola Senese, in the municipality of Monteriggioni, planted on land rocky rich in skeleton and other important nutrients for the cultivation of Sangiovese.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with 15 days maceration at a temperature of 28 ° C, after which the wine is aged in oak barriques.
It reveals itself in the glass with a ruby red color. On the nose the aromas of ripe fruit, cherry and blackberry stand out for their intensity. The sip is striking for volume, softness and a sweet tendency that ensure a pleasant drink.
It can be paired with roast meats, game and cheeses, as well as with the typical first courses of Mediterranean cuisine.
