The Brut Gran Reserva is a blend of classic Cava varieties grown on calcareous, fossil-rich soils with hand riddling and disgorging. It has a precise nose with subtle dried apricot and white peach scents that blossom in the glass. The palate is where it is all happening: a crisp, apricot and lemon curd tinged entry leads to a flavour-rich middle and finish that is full of lively apricot and peach notes and a cheeky hint of toffee apple on the aftertaste. This is a simple but lovely Cava to savour.
