This site is the longest continuously producing in California, and its location on the San Andreas fault in Cienega Valley east of Monterey makes for a diverse set of soils and aspects. The nose calls to mind the fuller styling of its neighbor Calera or perhaps a Anderson Valley Pinot Noir; there are aromas of bold black cherry, spice, oak and cola. The palate is present with black cherry, some blue fruits, and well integrated oak spice. D&M Tasting Notes
