Black fruits, menthol and dark chocolate on the ripe nose. Rich, dense and chocolatey-sweet; quite full but with very good vinosity. Finishes with substantial palate-coating tannins and very good length.
The terroir of Lussac is characterized by the diversity of its soils, distributed between the plateaus, the sides of the hills and small valleys. This red blend made of primarily Merlot came from vines situated in clay and limestone soil. It is a food-friendly, deep red wine full of black-plum and dark-cherry fruit ending with a supple, persistent finish.
